Interstate 10 crash kills Los Angeles man
FONTANA, CA, (September 06, 2025) - A Los Angeles man was killed early Saturday morning in a traffic collision on the Interstate 10 Freeway in Fontana, authorities said.
Guadalupe Pedro, 52, of Los Angeles, tragically died as a passenger in a motor vehicle accident early Saturday morning on the Interstate 10 Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. near Cherry Avenue.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department identified the victim as 52-year-old Guadalupe Pedro. He was a passenger in one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additional details, including the number of vehicles involved or whether anyone else was injured, were not immediately available. The CHP continues to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED
Each year, road accidents claim thousands of lives in the U.S. While multiple factors are involved, unsafe driver behavior—speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol, and distracted driving such as texting or phone use—accounts for the majority of fatal crashes. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has reported that 8,055 lives were lost in motor vehicle collisions during the first quarter of 2025.
While the cause and liability of the crash are being investigated, Candice Bond, an experienced accident attorney and Managing Partner of Bond Legal, said that it is imperative to have an independent investigation conducted by a seasoned attorney.
“In addition to the diligent work of law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview important witnesses, analyze any surveillance video from the scene of the crash, and obtain phone and texting records of the liable party,” said Bond, a national analyst for The Legal Advocate.
Time is of the essence in cases such as this, and the family of a victim must be ensured that evidence is reviewed in an efficient manner.
WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM
Pending the investigation, the family of Guadalupe Pedro may be entitled to a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims can seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a catastrophic accident.
“We understand that losing a loved one is not only a deeply emotional loss but also an economic one,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal.
“If a loved one has been killed due to someone else’s negligence, it is important to contact a wrongful death attorney to receive guidance and ensure the justice and compensation your family deserves.”
