CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED
Fleeing the scene of a crash not only puts victims’ lives in greater jeopardy but also leaves families grappling with profound grief and a lingering sense of injustice—knowing their loved one was abandoned in a moment of critical need. According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), hit-and-run deaths in the U.S. have risen steadily, increasing by an average of 7.2 percent annually since 2009.
“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a hit-and-run case and prove negligence,” said Candice Bond, a seasoned hit-and-run attorney and Managing Partner at Bond Legal. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and road lighting are all possible contributing factors that must be carefully examined. These procedures are vital to helping families who have lost a loved one receive the justice they deserve.”
Bond, who also serves as a national analyst for The Legal Advocate, added, “The driver always has to take great care behind the wheel.”
WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM
Pending the results of the investigation, the family of David Westman may be eligible to file a wrongful death claim. In such cases, surviving family members can seek compensation for loss of companionship, emotional distress, pain and suffering, and other damages resulting from the tragic loss.
“The stress and sorrow can be extremely overwhelming after losing a loved one in an accident,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. “We understand the pain families endure, and protecting their rights is crucial. A wrongful death attorney can monitor the investigation and work to ensure their legal interests are upheld.”
