Hillside Township multi-vehicle rollover on I-78 Saturday morning
HILLSIDE, NJ, (August 30, 2025) - An early Saturday morning multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 78 in Hillside Township left one person dead and several others injured.
Dayle Danchak was critically injured early Saturday in a rollover crash on Interstate 78 in Hillside Township.
According to the New Jersey State Police, a westbound Honda SUV attempted a lane change near milepost 53.4 just before 2 a.m. and collided with a Toyota SUV. The Honda then struck a Ford driven by 24-year-old Dayle Danchak, of Towaco, which overturned and hit a Chevrolet.
Danchak was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. A 21-year-old female passenger in the Ford died in the crash. Four additional people, including an 11-year-old, were also injured.
CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED
Victims like Danchak are injured in motor vehicle accidents across our country, and it is often not their fault.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), approximately 2.2 million people were injured in motor vehicle crashes nationwide in 2023.
While the cause and liability of the crash are being investigated, Andrew G. Finkelstein, Managing Partner at Jacoby & Meyers Law Offices, said it is important that a competent attorney handles investigations into cases such as this to protect the rights of the victim's family.
"It is essential to reconstruct the accident to identify all the vehicles involved and determine the circumstances that led to the accident or the driver at fault."
"Insurance companies are never on the side of a victim injured or killed in a motor vehicle accident,” said Finkelstein.
“According to the Insurance Research Institute, on average, an injured person who receives help from a lawyer ends up receiving three and a half times more money than those who do not."
Well-known lawyers like Finkelstein are experienced in such aspects and can help protect your rights by guiding you through every step of the process.
PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM
Pending the results of the investigation, Dayle Danchak may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Personal injuries can significantly alter a victim's life, affecting not only physical health but also social, economic, and overall life circumstances.
“People involved in auto accidents can suffer severe mental and physical pain, and in cases of fatalities, the victim’s family and loved ones are left devastated,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal.
“It is always recommended that victims avoid giving statements to insurance companies immediately after a crash,” added Bond.
“You might be in shock, and anything said at that time could reduce your chances of obtaining fair compensation. Hiring an attorney is the best way to protect your rights and ensure justice is served.”
