FATAL PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

Pedestrian deaths continue to be a major concern in California, with the state experiencing some of the highest numbers of pedestrian deaths in the U.S.

Approximately 1,158 pedestrians were killed in California in 2022, accounting for a significant 26 percent of all motor vehicle fatalities in the state. Most fatal crashes happen in cities at night, outside intersections, with about a quarter involving hit-and-run drivers.

Pedestrians can be hit by a combination of factors, including speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving. Candice Bond, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney, emphasized that in cases such as this, it is crucial to have an independent investigation conducted by a seasoned lawyer to help protect the rights of the victim’s family.

“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a pedestrian accident case and prove negligence,” said Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and road lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and must be thoroughly examined. These procedures are necessary for helping those who have lost a loved one receive the justice and monetary compensation that they deserve.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family of Gabriella Bravo may be entitled to a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims can seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a catastrophic accident.

“We understand the challenges families face after losing a loved one, and protecting their rights is essential,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “A wrongful death attorney will monitor the official investigation and help ensure the family’s best interests are fully represented. Relatives of wrongful death victims are entitled to seek compensation for the emotional and financial impact of such a tragic loss.”
