SILSBEE, TX, (July 31, 2025) - Tracyn Brady, an 18-year-old from Orangefield, tragically died in a collision involving a tow truck Thursday night in Silsbee.
Tracyn Brady, 18, was tragically killed in a collision with a tow truck Thursday night in Silsbee.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Brady was a passenger in a Honda Accord driven by another 18-year-old male. The vehicle was exiting a gas station parking lot at the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 1122 around 11:30 p.m. when it failed to yield to a northbound tow truck, resulting in a collision.
Brady was transported to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, where he later succumbed to his injuries. He was a graduate of Buna High School.
The crash remains under investigation.
CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED
When a driver has the right-of-way, other motorists must yield to them, allowing them safe passage through an intersection.
According to Candice Bond, an experienced auto accident attorney, failure-to-yield accidents are often the result of driver error. Some of the other reasons why drivers fail to yield to other motorists are impatience, reckless driving, and distracted driving. Approximately 40 percent of car collisions take place at road intersections.
Regardless of the findings of any police investigation, Bond stressed that it is imperative to hire an attorney to conduct an independent probe into the cause of the crash to secure evidence and to protect the rights of a victim's grieving family.
“In addition to the diligent work of law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview important witnesses, analyze any surveillance video from the scene of the crash, and obtain phone and texting records of the liable party,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and national analyst for The Legal Advocate. “Serving as an advocate, an attorney can help compassionately guide a family who has lost a loved one during this difficult time, as well as protect their legal rights and best interests.’’
WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM
The family members of Tracyn Brady may be entitled to a wrongful death claim. Loved ones of wrongful death victims can seek compensation for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, emotional distress, and other damages resulting from a tragic or catastrophic accident.
“We understand the immense grief families endure, and protecting their rights is essential,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. “A wrongful death attorney can closely follow the investigation and ensure the family’s interests are fully represented. Families have the right to pursue compensation for the emotional and financial impact caused by the loss of a loved one in such devastating circumstances.”
