Pedestrian collision at Rosemead Boulevard and Longden Avenue
SAN GABRIEL, CA, (August 08, 2025) - An elderly pedestrian lost his life in a vehicle-related accident early Friday in San Gabriel, authorities said. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner identified the victim as 80-year-old Tony Ta.
Tony Ta, 80, was fatally struck by a vehicle early Friday at an intersection in San Gabriel, authorities reported.
According to preliminary reports, Ta was struck shortly before 5 a.m. near the intersection of Rosemead Boulevard and Longden Avenue. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to blunt force injuries. His city of residence has not yet been determined.
Officials have not released details regarding the driver. The incident remains under investigation.
