Three seniors hospitalized at Adventist Health Sierra Vista Hospital
PASO ROBLES, CA, (September 14, 2025) - A serious two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 101 near Exline Road north of Paso Robles left three people hospitalized with major injuries on Sept. 14, according to the CHP.
A Sunday evening two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo County left three seniors seriously injured.
Among the victims was Louie Carreon, 81, who had been driving a 2006 Lincoln Town Car.
Investigators said the crash occurred at about 6:20 p.m. when a 55-year-old man in a 2024 Mercedes Sprinter van made a left turn onto Exline Road. The van crossed into the path of Carreon’s southbound Lincoln. Carreon tried to swerve but was unable to avoid the collision.
Carreon and his two senior passengers were taken to Adventist Health Sierra Vista Hospital in San Luis Obispo with serious injuries.
The Mercedes driver sustained only minor injuries. CHP is continuing to investigate the cause of the wreck.
