FATAL PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Thousands of pedestrians are killed on U.S. roads each year due to reckless driving, poor infrastructure, and car-focused road design.
From 2009 to 2023, pedestrian deaths rose by 80 percent, compared to a 13 percent rise in other traffic fatalities, according to the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA).
“In most instances, pedestrians possess the right of way when crossing an intersection or a street, regardless of whether they are in a marked crosswalk,” said Candice Bond, an experienced pedestrian accident attorney.
Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal, noted that in cases such as this, it is imperative to have an independent probe conducted by a seasoned lawyer to help protect the rights of the victim.
“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a pedestrian accident case and prove negligence,” Bond added.
WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM
The family of Katherine Marie Pederson may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim. Relatives of wrongful death victims can seek compensation for loss of companionship, emotional distress, pain, and suffering following a tragic accident.
“We understand the challenges families face after such a loss, and protecting their rights is essential,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. “A wrongful death attorney will monitor the investigation and ensure the family’s best interests are represented. Relatives of wrongful death victims have the right to pursue damages for the loss of companionship, emotional suffering, and other hardships caused by a catastrophic accident.”
