San Bernardino County Fatal Semi-Truck Accident June 15th; Damiono Ganley Killed in Tractor-Trailer CrashDamiono Ganley tragically lost his life on June 15 in a collision between two tractor-trailers along Interstate 40 in San Bernardino County.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Ganley was operating one of the tractor-trailers involved in the collision, which occurred around 10:48 a.m. One of the rigs was hauling a UPS parcel trailer. Ganley sadly died at the scene.

Authorities reported that diesel spilled from one of the trucks, prompting a hazmat response from Caltrans. The crash remains under investigation.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

A fully loaded tractor-trailer can weigh up to 80,000 pounds, making any collision involving these vehicles potentially catastrophic.

Crashes involving semi-trucks are often triggered by factors such as mechanical failures, tire blowouts, improper lane changes, driver fatigue, speeding, and loss of control. The National Safety Council reports that commercial truck accidents result in roughly 4,900 fatalities each year—highlighting the pressing need for heightened industry oversight and road safety measures.

“These crashes are highly complex, and determining liability often requires a detailed investigation,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. “An experienced attorney can bring in experts, examine driver logs and maintenance records, and navigate the legal complexities to support grieving families seeking accountability and compensation.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, the family of Damiono Ganley may be entitled to a wrongful death claim for the loss of love and companionship.

“The stress and sorrow can be extremely overwhelming after losing a loved one in an accident,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “We understand just what families are forced to go through, and having their rights protected is vital. A wrongful death lawyer will stay updated on the official investigation and help ensure that their legal rights and best interests are protected.”
