HIT-AND-RUN CRASH INVESTIGATION

Hit-and-run accidents, like the one that seriously injured 21-year-old Anthony Challman in Huntington Beach, highlight the alarming frequency and dangers of these incidents. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), over 67,000 pedestrians were injured in U.S. traffic crashes in 2022, with nearly 25% involving drivers who fled the scene.

“Apprehending a hit-and-run driver is often difficult, but not impossible,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and a veteran hit-and-run accident attorney. “In addition to police efforts, legal teams can bring in independent investigators to collect surveillance footage, identify witnesses, and analyze contributing road factors.”

Bond emphasized that details like road lighting, signage visibility, and traffic flow are all critical to determining negligence. “Having the proper resources is crucial to investigate a hit-and-run accident case and prove liability,” she noted.

A skilled attorney can help ensure victims and their families receive justice and financial support for medical costs, emotional trauma, and long-term recovery.

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Following the serious injuries Anthony Challman sustained in a Huntington Beach hit-and-run collision, he may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit, according to legal experts.

Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal, emphasized the impact such injuries can have on a victim’s entire life. “The stress and disruption following a serious injury often affect every aspect—family, work, finances, and long-term well-being,” she said.

“Although no amount of money can undo the harm, it is critical that victims understand their legal rights,” Bond added. “Mr. Challman may be entitled to a claim that could cover medical costs, ongoing treatment, lost income, emotional suffering, and more.”
