MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

In 2022, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported 82 motorcyclist fatalities and many more injuries, with numbers increasing in 2023 and 2024. The most frequent cause of motorcycle accidents is a violation of the right-of-way by another driver, followed by other factors such as excessive speed and negotiating curves.

Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal, has spoken about the need for seasoned attorneys to conduct full independent investigations following accidents of any kind.

The probe studies all potential factors in the crash. Any number of variables can play a role, including driver error, impairment and road conditions.

Motorcyclists are especially vulnerable on America’s roads. Motorcycles often aren’t seen by other drivers, and those riding motorcycles are in grave danger upon impact.

“Motorcycle accident victims who sustain injuries at the expense of a negligent motorist are subject to a personal injury lawsuit, where they may receive compensation for damages,” said Bond, a national analyst for The Legal Advocate. “The importance of contacting and securing a personal injury lawyer cannot be stressed enough. It is an attorney’s duty to assist victims whose lives have been suddenly impacted. Our goal is to help those affected to ultimately assist in establishing normalcy after an untimely accident.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, Zander Bradley Barthel may be entitled to pursue a personal injury claim, which could include damages for medical and rehabilitation expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic accident.

Candice Bond, Of Counsel at Bond Legal, emphasized the importance of legal representation for victims of accidents.

“The stress and sorrow can be overwhelming if you, a friend, or family member have suffered a personal injury or the loss of a loved one in an accident,” Bond said. “We understand what victims must endure, and protecting their rights is essential. A personal injury lawyer will stay informed of the official investigation and help ensure that their legal rights and best interests are safeguarded.”
