An 8-year-old boy died and his father suffered injuries after a pickup truck driven by a suspected impaired motorist veered off the roadway and hit them in an East Bakersfield parking lot on November 3.
Authorities arrested the 33-year-old driver on suspicion of driving under the influence following the midday collision.
