Woman Killed by Speeding Drivers in Redlands Hit-and-Run
REDLANDS, CA, (September 17, 2025) - Authorities are searching for two drivers involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 38-year-old woman on September 17. The victim, identified as Stephany Rose Allen of Redlands, was struck by two speeding vehicles that ran a red light at the intersection of Industrial Park Drive and Alabama Street.
On September 17, Stephany Allen died after being hit by two hit-and-run drivers on Alabama Street in Redlands.
The fatal collision occurred just after midnight. After being hit by the first vehicle, Allen was thrown into another lane and struck by the second. She died at the scene from her injuries. Both drivers fled, and the Redlands Police Department is asking for the public's help to find them. Anyone with information is urged to call 909-798-7681.
HIT-AND-RUN INVESTIGATION NEEDED
By law, any motorist involved in an accident is required to remain at the scene until authorities arrive. However, statistics indicate that more than one hit-and-run crash occurs every minute on U.S. roads. Many suspects flee the scene because they are intoxicated, driving without a license, or are concerned about being arrested if they remain at the scene.
No state has more pedestrian deaths on its roadways than California. According to the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), an estimated 7,148 pedestrians died on U.S. roadways in 2024, with 928 occurring in the state of California.
Candice Bond, an experienced hit-and-run accident attorney, said in such cases it is imperative to have an independent investigation conducted by a seasoned attorney promptly to protect the rights of a victim.
“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a hit-and-run accident case and prove negligence,” added Bond, a Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and road lighting are all possible contributing factors that must be fully considered. These procedures are necessary for helping someone who has been injured by a hit-and-run driver receive the justice and monetary compensation that they deserve.”
WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM
The family of Stephany Allen may be entitled to a wrongful death claim, seeking damages for loss of income and companionship, pain and suffering, funeral expenses, and emotional distress.
“It is almost always a driver’s duty to yield to any pedestrian,” said Candice Bond, of counsel at Bond Legal. "Serving as an advocate, an attorney can help compassionately guide a family through this difficult time while protecting their rights."
Bond added, “Insurance companies often try to pressure victims to settle for a quick payout for far less than the case is worth. However, an attorney will vigorously advocate for their client to ensure that they are treated with respect and compensated fairly.”
