HIT-AND-RUN CRASH INVESTIGATION

In the event of a serious crash, drivers are required by law to remain at the scene and contact emergency services, as this action may help provide necessary assistance to other victims.

Many suspects flee the scene because they are intoxicated, driving without a license, or are concerned about being arrested if they remain. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), approximately 10.48 percent of fatal accidents in the state were hit-and-runs, the most in the country.

Candice Bond, an experienced hit-and-run accident attorney, stated that in cases such as this, it is imperative to have an independent investigation conducted by a seasoned attorney to protect a victim’s rights.

“Having the proper resources is crucial to investigating a hit-and-run accident case and proving negligence,” said Bond, a Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “Road conditions, signage visibility, and road lighting are all potential contributing factors that are considered and must be thoroughly examined. These procedures are necessary for helping someone who has lost a loved one at the hands of a hit-and-run driver receive the justice and monetary compensation that they deserve.”

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

The family of Robin Butler may be entitled to a wrongful death claim to cover medical and funeral expenses, loss of love and companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional trauma.

“An incident is considered a wrongful death when a person or entity engages in a wrongful or negligent act that results in someone’s death,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal.

“When fatalities occur due to unsafe driving, distracted or aggressive behavior, speeding, or driving under the influence, families often have the right to pursue a civil action against the responsible party,” Bond added.
