CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED
The majority of serious injury crashes are preventable when drivers adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations. Despite this, reckless driving continues to be a leading cause of devastating collisions nationwide. In 2023 alone, approximately 2.2 million people sustained injuries in motor vehicle accidents across the U.S., according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
As authorities investigate the recent fatal teen crash near Wake Forest, Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal and a seasoned accident attorney, emphasized the importance of an independent investigation.
“In addition to the diligent work of law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview important witnesses, analyze any surveillance video from the scene of the crash, and obtain phone and texting records of the liable party,” said Bond, who also serves as a national legal analyst for The Legal Advocate.
“Time is of the essence in cases such as this, and the victim’s family must ensure that evidence is reviewed efficiently,” she added.
PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM
Pending the results of the investigation, Reece Campbell may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit after being injured in Saturday's crash near Wake Forest. Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal, emphasized the significant toll such injuries can take on a victim’s life—impacting family, employment, finances, and overall well-being.
“It is vital for victims to hire an attorney when filing a personal injury claim, which allows them to negotiate with an insurance company on behalf of a client,” Bond stated.
She further noted that insurance companies often attempt to pressure victims into accepting quick settlements that fall far short of what the case is truly worth. “An attorney will vigorously advocate for their client to ensure that they are treated with respect and compensated fairly,” she added.
