Road rage incident started near Calle Jules and Via Felicidad

VISTA, CA, (August 24, 2025) - Two motorists have been arrested following a violent road rage incident in Vista that left a pedestrian seriously injured, authorities said.

hit and runPolice said a pedestrian suffered serious injuries Sunday in Vista after being struck by a vehicle during a road rage incident.

According to investigators, the suspects — identified as 41-year-old Lindsey Bigbey and 42-year-old Nathan Robson — were involved in a confrontation Sunday while driving in a residential neighborhood near Calle Jules and Via Felicidad. Bigbey was behind the wheel of a Toyota Sequoia, while Robson drove a Jeep Cherokee.

Police said the altercation escalated, with Robson allegedly chasing the other vehicle through the neighborhood before striking a pedestrian and multiple parked cars. Both drivers fled the area afterward.

Bigbey and Robson were arrested Wednesday in San Diego and booked into the Vista Detention Facility on multiple felony charges, including hit-and-run. The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, was hospitalized with major injuries.

CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED

Leaving the scene of a crash is both reckless and inhumane. Abandoning an injured person may deny them the life-saving help they desperately need. According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, more than one hit-and-run crash occurs every minute on U.S. roads. An average of 682,000 hit-and-run crashes have occurred each year since 2006.

Candice Bond, an experienced hit-and-run accident attorney, said in cases such as this, it is imperative to have an independent investigation conducted promptly by a seasoned attorney to protect the victim’s rights.

“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a hit-and-run accident case and prove negligence,” said Bond, a Managing Partner of Bond Legal.

“An attorney can also ensure that a hit-and-run driver is held accountable for reckless actions.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

Pending the investigation results, the injured victim may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Bond noted that the stress and worry following a serious injury could be overwhelming, disrupting all aspects of life, including family, work, finances, and overall quality of life.

“It is vital for victims to hire an attorney when filing a personal injury claim, which allows them to negotiate with an insurance company on behalf of a client,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal.

“Insurance companies often try to pressure victims to settle for a quick payout for far less than the case is worth. However, an attorney will vigorously advocate for their client to ensure that they are treated with respect and compensated fairly.”
