2 dead in Friday night wreck on North Waynesville Road
WAYNE TWP., OH, (October 04, 2024) - The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) says two people lost their lives Friday night in a motorcycle accident in Wayne Township.
Christina Bollinger was fatally injured Friday night in a motorcycle accident along North Waynesville Road in Wayne Township.
According to authorities, 45-year-old Christina Bollinger, of Centerville, was a passenger on a 2011 Harley Davidson heading northbound along North Waynesville Road when the driver lost control at a curve in the roadway and slammed into a tree.
Bollinger was ejected in the crash and tragically declared deceased at the site of the crash when officials responded the next day.
The 50-year-old man driving also died at the scene.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
MOTORCYCLE CRASH INVESTIGATION
This accident underscores the dangers that motorcyclists face on our roadways each day. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there were 6,530 motorcyclists killed on U.S. roadways in 2021, an increase of 9 percent from 2020.
Candice Bond, an experienced motorcycle accident attorney, said in such cases, it is imperative to preserve evidence through an independent probe.
“In addition to a police report, an attorney will carefully review what may have contributed to the crash,” said Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. “Your lawyer has the resources to hire expert witnesses, conduct drivers’ background checks, locate witnesses to the crash and review applicable insurance coverage. Serving as an advocate, an attorney can help compassionately guide the heartbroken family of a victim during this difficult time, protecting their legal rights while ensuring that a driver is held accountable after disobeying traffic laws.”
WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM
Pending the investigation, the family of Christina Bollinger may pursue a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims may seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a tragic or catastrophic accident such as this.
"In the wake of a catastrophic accident, families deserve peace of mind. Completing an independent investigation while big insurance corporations want to weaken your case requires an attorney with full knowledge of the complex legal process and resources to fight by your side.
"Losing a loved one due to someone else’s negligence is an unimaginable tragedy. While no amount of compensation can bring them back, an experienced attorney can hold responsible parties accountable and help secure justice for your family."
