January 16, 2026 | Worcester, MA

A Worcester firefighter was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene during a response to an emergency call on Jan. 16. The incident took place at 425 Pleasant St., where Ladder 7 was heading to an urgent run. The firefighter was hit by the vehicle, leading to involvement from the fire chief and police department. Fire department investigators are currently at the scene, probing the motor vehicle accident.
