An 87-year-old Carlsbad man died days after a two-vehicle crash on Palomar Airport Road near Amada Drive, authorities said.

Popovich initially declined treatment but later sought medical care after experiencing body pain. He died at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas on Sunday, June 22.
