The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Vojislav Popovich. He was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the collision, which occurred around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 17. Popovich initially declined treatment but later sought medical care after experiencing body pain. He died at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas on Sunday, June 22.
