Deadly collision happened along 47th Street East, near Avenue S
PALMDALE, CA, (August 10, 2024) - A Saturday night crash in Palmdale involving multiple vehicles claimed the life of a 27-year-old motorcyclist, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Vincent Gahret, 27, was identified as the motorcyclist who lost his life following a multi-vehicle crash in Palmdale on Saturday night, according to authorities.
The victim has been identified as Palmdale resident Vincent Gahret.
Gahret was riding a motorcycle along 47th Street East, near Avenue S, around 8 p.m. when he was involved in a traffic collision. Sadly, he died at a hospital.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
CRASH INVESTIGATION NEEDED
“Motorcyclists are arguably the most vulnerable motorists on the road,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal.
In 2017, 5,172 motorcyclists died in motorcycle crashes, down 3 percent from 5,337 in 2016, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Bond, an experienced motorcycle accident attorney, noted that in cases such as this, it is imperative to have an independent investigation into the crash conducted by a seasoned lawyer to protect the rights of the victim's family.
“Blind spots, inexperienced drivers, and distracted motorists often cause these types of collisions. Serving as an advocate, an attorney can help compassionately guide a family during this difficult time, protecting their rights while ensuring that a driver is held accountable if they do not obey traffic laws.”
WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM
Pending the investigation, the family of Vincent Gahret may be entitled to a wrongful death claim. Family members of wrongful death victims may seek damages for loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress following a catastrophic accident such as this incident.
“The stress and sorrow can be extremely overwhelming after losing a loved one in an accident,” said Stefano Formica, Of Counsel with Bond Legal.
“We understand just what families are forced to go through, and having their rights protected is vital. A wrongful death lawyer will stay updated on the official investigation and help ensure that their legal rights and best interests are protected.”
