Firefighters are battling a two-alarm blaze at a four-story vacant church across from 501 Emslie St. The incident was reported Jan. 15 at around 10:27 p.m. Crews responded to fire on the second side of the structure, deploying a 2.5-inch line to combat flames on the second floor. The building prompted a second alarm due to the intensity of the fire.
