Smoke filled an apartment at 1521 Crucible St. due to unattended cooking, leading to a fire department response on Jan. 1. Firefighters arrived around 12:13 p.m. to ventilate the building and handle the smoke damage. No injuries occurred, and the incident was quickly contained without turning into a full fire.
