A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run collision involving an alleged impaired driver in Washington County on March 26. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) detailed how a westbound 2018 Dodge Ram pickup veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle near Crescent Road around 11:35 p.m.

The collision caused the motorcycle to overturn, ejecting the 53-year-old rider from Cadet. He was airlifted to Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, for critical care.

Authorities identified the Dodge driver as 50-year-old Sherene M. Metoxen-Mason from Mineral Point. She fled after the crash but was apprehended shortly after. Metoxen-Mason now faces charges including leaving the scene with serious physical injury and driving while intoxicated, causing serious physical injury.
