Wrong-way driver hit her pickup truck south of Sulphur Springs

A 66-year-old woman from Sulphur Springs lost her life in a head-on collision caused by a wrong-way motorist late Wednesday night on Texas Highway 19. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed the incident occurred south of the city and involved a Missouri resident behind the wheel of the errant vehicle.

The Honda Odyssey crossed into oncoming traffic and struck Williams' pickup head-on, authorities reported. Investigators have not yet determined why the minivan entered the wrong lanes.
