Residents and Firefighters Swiftly Contain Minor Blaze on Henrico Home Deck

A minor fire broke out on the rear deck of a two-story single-family home, with smoke visible from outside, but was swiftly contained by residents and firefighters. Emergency responders from Truck-301 arrived at 1528 Village Field Drive on Jan. 16 following reports of smoke. Command advised that the small blaze was knocked down using a water can and garden hose. Engine-303 provided assistance in overhauling the area to check for any fire extension.
