A partial collapse has struck a two-story masonry-over-reinforced building at 143 Poplar St., leading to the evacuation of nearby structures and active search efforts by firefighters. Fire Department crews are handling the scene after the incident was reported at 1:37 a.m. on Jan. 7. Rescue teams are searching the debris to confirm no individuals are trapped.
