A tragic multi-vehicle collision in Kansas City, Missouri, claimed two lives and left two others injured on March 2.

Authorities reported the incident occurred near the U.S. 71 exit ramp at Meyer Boulevard around 12:40 p.m.

What Happened in the Crash?

The sequence of the crash unfolded when a silver Subaru Forester and a silver Ford Escape were stopped at a red light on the northbound U.S. 71 exit ramp to Meyer Boulevard. A black Ford F-150, traveling at excessive speed, sideswiped the Escape before rear-ending the Subaru. The force propelled the Subaru across eastbound lanes, through the median, over a concrete wall, where it overturned into the westbound lanes. A gray GMC Sierra was also struck by the F-150.
