A small fire broke out in the rear room of a two-story owner-occupied home on Jan. 13. Emergency responders arrived at 707 N 6th St., where the blaze was swiftly brought under control amid smoke conditions. The fire department confirmed it was a regularly occupied residence, and no injuries were reported. Investigations into the cause are underway.
