A devastating two-vehicle collision in Galesburg claimed the life of a local woman more than a week after the incident.

On Nov. 22, around 9:17 a.m., two vehicles collided in the 1300 block of South Lake Storey Road. Both vehicles carried only the drivers.

The second driver, a 32-year-old woman from Galesburg, received treatment at the same initial hospital and was also airlifted to Peoria, where she continues to recover from serious injuries.
