Police investigating Wednesday night multi-vehicle accident

The Greensboro Police Department says a 30-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle and fatally injured Wednesday night after a chain of crashes along Interstate 40.
According to authorities, a 2017 Nissan Rogue stopped along the eastbound side of I-40 was struck by a 2019 Ford Transit van and a Nissan Sentra at approximately 9:20 p.m. Subsequently, a Toyota Camry crashed into the back of a Toyota Prius, which was propelled into the driver of the Rogue, Krystal Paula Pearson, who had exited her vehicle.
Krystal Pearson lost her life Wednesday night when she was struck by a vehicle after a series of crashes along Interstate 40 in Greensboro.
Tragically, Pearson was declared deceased at the site of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
