CRASH INVESTIGATION

Florida recorded approximately 339,000 traffic crashes in 2024, resulting in 2,648 fatalities and over 218,000 injuries, translating to roughly 1,082 crashes per day statewide. The state ranks third nationally for fatal car accidents, with Miami-Dade County leading at nearly 60,000 crashes and 249 deaths, followed by Broward and Palm Beach counties.

The most common contributing factors include speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving.

“Road conditions, visibility, and lighting are all possible contributing factors that are considered and must thoroughly be examined,” said Candice Bond, a Managing Partner with Bond Legal.

“An accident reconstruction team is sometimes needed to help piece together what happened. All of these resources are necessary for helping clients receive monetary compensation for damages or a loss following a collision,” said Bond.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the results of the investigation, the family of Kayla Ross may be entitled to pursue a wrongful death claim. Families of wrongful death victims can seek compensation for damages including loss of companionship, emotional distress, and pain and suffering following a tragic accident.

“The grief and hardship after losing a loved one in an accident can be overwhelming,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal.

“We understand the challenges families face, and protecting their rights is essential. A wrongful death attorney will stay informed on the official investigation and work to ensure that the family’s legal rights and best interests are safeguarded.”
