HIT-AND-RUN CRASH INVESTIGATION

Drivers involved in serious crashes are legally required to remain at the scene and contact emergency services to ensure that all victims receive necessary assistance. However, many suspects flee due to intoxication, lack of a valid license, or fear of arrest.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a hit-and-run accident occurs approximately every 43 seconds in the United States.

Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and an experienced hit-and-run accident attorney, emphasized the critical role of independent investigations in such cases. “Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a hit-and-run accident case and prove negligence,” Bond said.

She added that factors such as road conditions, signage visibility, and lighting must be thoroughly examined. “These procedures are necessary for helping someone who has been injured at the hands of a hit-and-run driver receive the justice and monetary compensation that they deserve.”

PERSONAL INJURY CLAIM

The motorcyclist injured in this accident may have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit. Candice Bond, Of Counsel with Bond Legal, emphasized that the stress and anxiety following a serious injury can be overwhelming, affecting all areas of life including family, work, finances, and overall well-being.

“While no amount of money can fully compensate for a devastating injury, it is crucial that victims understand their legal rights and what they are entitled to,” Bond said. “The injured party in this collision may be eligible to file a claim seeking damages such as medical expenses, future medical care, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.”
