The San Bernardino County coroner identified the deceased as Juan P. Garcia of Apple Valley. A 2007 Land Rover Range Rover Sport traveling west crossed into oncoming lanes and struck Garcia’s eastbound Chevy Silverado 1500 around 7:45 p.m. Garcia died at the scene. Two juvenile passengers in the Silverado were hospitalized in stable condition. The Land Rover driver was also taken to a local hospital.
