Ivan Iakovlev was a passenger in the vehicle that crashed in the 20500 block of West Parthenia Street near Mason Avenue around 2 a.m. The engine was torn from the car and landed nearby. Iakovlev was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation.
