The crash occurred just before 8:30 p.m. when a black Audi attempted a left turn onto East 10th Street from MLK Jr. Boulevard. A white Jeep heading north on MLK Jr. Boulevard collided with the Audi. Following the initial crash, the Audi's occupants, a driver and passenger, both 18, exited to assist those in the Jeep.
