Firefighters battled an intense two-alarm blaze that tore through a three-story duplex, with flames already visible when crews arrived on scene. The fire erupted at 31 Buttonwood St., extending into an adjacent structure. Responders immediately requested a second alarm to reinforce their efforts against the spreading inferno.
