FATAL ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION

In many hit-and-run cases, drivers flee the scene believing they can escape responsibility. However, when identified, they face serious legal consequences, including criminal charges.

According to the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, more than one hit-and-run crash occurs every minute on U.S. roadways. Since 2006, an average of 682,000 such incidents have taken place each year, underscoring the widespread and alarming nature of these crimes.

Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal and a seasoned hit-and-run accident attorney, emphasized the importance of a timely, independent investigation in fatal cases like the one involving Gaston Moreau.

“Having the proper resources is extremely important to investigate a hit-and-run accident case and prove negligence,” said Bond. “Factors like road conditions, lighting, and visibility must all be examined thoroughly.”

Bond added that these investigative steps are crucial in helping families of hit-and-run victims pursue justice and obtain the compensation they deserve for their loss.

WRONGFUL DEATH CLAIM

Pending the outcome of the investigation, the family of Gaston Moreau may have grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim. Such claims allow surviving family members to seek compensation for the loss of companionship, emotional suffering, and other damages resulting from a tragic and preventable accident.

“The stress and sorrow can be extremely overwhelming after losing a loved one in an accident,” said Candice Bond, Managing Partner of Bond Legal. “We understand the immense hardship families face, and it is crucial that their rights are fully protected.”

Bond emphasized that a wrongful death attorney can play a vital role in securing justice. “An attorney can protect victims from large insurance companies and their legal teams while thoroughly investigating the facts,” she said. “We work tirelessly to ensure the family’s best interests are upheld and that they receive the compensation they deserve.”
