Firefighters responded to a major fire at a three-story attached masonry dwelling on Madison Street in Queens early Tuesday morning. The alarm was sounded around 3:31 a.m. for Box 4037, with heavy flames reported on the first floor. Battalion 28 noted the intense fire, leading to two hose lines being stretched and one put into operation. Truck 135 was tasked with FAST duties to support search and rescue efforts.
