Firefighters Tackle Fireplace Blaze at Woodbury Residence

Firefighters from the Syosset Fire Department responded to reports of smoke damage at a home on Elm Street caused by a fireplace malfunction. Crews knocked down the fire at 30 Elm St. and began venting the structure. The incident was reported at 4:28 p.m. on Jan. 2. No injuries were reported.
