Firefighters Tackle Burst Pipe Flood in Elwood Basement

Firefighters responded to a residence on Elwood Road where a broken pipe caused severe flooding in the basement. Emergency crews arrived around 11:51 a.m. on Jan. 2 to find the home inundated with water. They immediately shut off the water supply and secured the electrical systems to prevent hazards. Crews also began pulling down the ceiling to assess and mitigate further damage.
