Firefighters swiftly contained a minor stove fire that led to smoke damage in an apartment building on Wilson Lane. Emergency units arrived at 1902 Wilson Lane, Apartment 102, on Jan. 7 at 2:35 p.m., following a report from a resident in Apartment 202 about smoke rising from lower levels. Upon entering the unit, crews discovered food burning on the stove and extinguished the flames before they could spread further.
