Fire crews responded to a small fire on a stove at an apartment complex, resulting in smoke damage to the unit. The incident occurred at 2117 Brownsville Rd., Apt. B24, around 9:48 p.m. on Jan. 7. Responders quickly extinguished the flames and used a ladder to ventilate the area, preventing further damage.
