Firefighters Contain Minor Appliance Blaze in Passaic Building

A small fire broke out in an appliance inside a three-story mixed-use building in Passaic on Jan. 13. Emergency crews arrived at 87 Market St., Apartment 1, shortly after 1:27 p.m. to tackle the minor incident. They quickly extinguished the flames and began ventilating the area to remove lingering smoke.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the event. Officials are now looking into what sparked the fire.
