Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a 2.5-story single-family house early Jan. 8, arriving to find smoke and flames visible from the structure in Batavia. A second alarm was dispatched, and mutual aid from neighboring departments was called in to help fight the fire at 240 Liberty St.
