Firefighters responded swiftly to a chimney fire that spread into the walls of a residence on Pine Street early Monday. The blaze was reported at 170 Pine St. in Brown Township, with Chief 6-1 confirming a working fire. It started in the chimney before extending to the surrounding walls, drawing a quick response from local fire departments.
