Fire Erupts in Manchester Twp Building Containing Hazardous Materials

Emergency responders rushed to a one-story commercial building on Emig Road in Manchester Township after reports of a working fire on Jan. 12 at 10:16 p.m. Firefighters arriving on scene found smoke pouring from the structure. The fire appeared to have started in a rear room close to the furnace or boiler area. Given the presence of multiple hazardous materials inside, the county haz-mat team was called in to support the firefighting efforts.
