Fire Erupts in Coatesville Home, One Hurt by Smoke

Firefighters responded to reports of smoke coming from the second floor of a home on N. Sandy Hill Road. Crews arrived at 328 N. Sandy Hill Road around 7:25 a.m. on Jan. 1 and found visible smoke venting from the side of the two-story building. This was the first alarm call for the incident in Chester County.

One person was checked for smoke inhalation at the scene. No other injuries were reported, and investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
