Firefighters are responding to a blaze in a seventh-floor apartment at a seven-story building located at 85 Washington Street. Emergency crews arrived early this morning on Jan. 11 to find heavy smoke and flames. Two hose lines are in operation, and searches are being conducted for any trapped residents. Mutual aid has been called in, including a tower ladder for high-reach operations.
