Fire Breaks Out in Queens Apartment; Sprinklers Contain Blaze Quickly

A fire broke out in apartment 3D of a 10-story multiple dwelling at 107-06 Queens Blvd. Firefighters responded to the alarm on Jan. 3, arriving to find the blaze already knocked down by the building's sprinkler system. Two lines of hose were deployed, with one positioned on the opposite side of the building. Primary searches of the fire apartment came back negative, indicating no victims were found inside. Secondary searches were ongoing as the fire was placed under control.
