Fire Breaks Out in DC Building, Flames Visible on Second Floor

Firefighters responded to a blaze at a two-story structure on Upshur Street NW, where flames were visible on the upper level. The building houses commercial space on the ground floor and residential apartments above. The alarm came in on Jan. 9 at 9:17 a.m. Upon arrival, emergency personnel observed fire emanating from the second floor.
